Maintenance Technician – Part-Time (10 – 12 hours per week)
Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities, equipment, and outdoor play areas in excellent condition. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment, and can work independently while managing a variety of maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities (utilizing a weekly/monthly checklist)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
- Maintain building systems, equipment, grooming and laundry areas, and outdoor play yards.
- Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and complete repairs or coordinate additional service when necessary.
- Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of equipment, HVAC filters, floor care equipment, and other facility systems.
- Maintain the grounds, pet play areas, and sanitation systems to ensure they remain clean, safe, and operational.
- Complete routine safety inspections and help ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Document completed maintenance, report equipment issues, and communicate supply or repair needs to General Manager.
- Assist with special projects, seasonal maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- General maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to identify problems and complete minor repairs independently.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain maintenance records.
- Reliable, dependable, and self-directed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with facility maintenance or commercial cleaning equipment.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry knowledge.

Pay Rate: $25 per hour (paid weekly)
