Job Summary:
Join our growing team at a well-established chemical manufacturing company in Louisville, KY! We are looking for a reliable and motivated Facilities Technician to assist with a variety of maintenance tasks. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay at $24 - $25/hr, with a standard 1st shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Key Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for a range of routine and preventative maintenance duties, including:
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and smoke detectors.
- HVAC Maintenance: Change air filters on HVAC units throughout the site.
- Building Maintenance: Perform basic facilities tasks such as painting, replacing ceiling or floor tiles, installing signs, and making repairs to doors, doorknobs, and locks.
- Roof & Grounds Maintenance: Maintain and inspect the building’s exterior grounds and roofs.
- Office Setup: Help move or set up office furniture (desks, chairs, computers, etc.).
- Material Transport: Safely transport equipment and materials between sites.
- Troubleshooting: Assist with general troubleshooting for building systems and facilities equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, including operating fall protection systems, hand tools, and heavy machinery such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
- SAP/CMMS Data Entry: Utilize computers to input work orders and confirmation details into the system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License: Must be able to operate company vehicles safely.
- Respirator Certification: Must be capable of wearing a respirator.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts is preferred.
- Basic Hand Tools & Safety Equipment: Comfortable using tools such as saws, drills, screwdrivers, and fall protection harnesses.
- Computer Skills: Ability to use computers to input work details into SAP or similar systems.
- Electrical/Mechanical Experience (Preferred): Knowledge of electrical systems or mechanical troubleshooting is a plus, though not required.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude toward workplace challenges.
