Property Manager – Canaan Pointe Apartments
Location: 200 Canaan Pointe Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29306
Salary: $65,000+ annually
Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site
About the Opportunity
Canaan Pointe Apartments is seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to lead the operations of our 120-unit residential community in Spartanburg, SC.
Built in 1997, Canaan Pointe features two-story townhomes and offers an opportunity for a hands-on property management professional who enjoys working directly with residents, supporting leasing efforts, and maintaining a well-managed community.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong leadership and organizational skills, and understands what it takes to keep a residential property running smoothly.
Candidates must hold both an active South Carolina Property Manager (PM) license and a Property Manager-in-Charge (PMIC) license to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of a 120-unit townhome community
- Supervise and coordinate leasing activities, resident services, and maintenance operations
- Monitor occupancy, leasing performance, and renewal activity
- Respond to resident concerns and help create a welcoming, well-maintained living environment
- Coordinate property maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, and necessary repairs
- Schedule and oversee vendors, contractors, and property inspections
- Maintain organized leasing files, resident records, and property documentation
- Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws, lease agreements, and applicable regulations
- Utilize property management software to manage leasing, resident information, and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve property operations, resident satisfaction, and overall community performance
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of residential property management experience preferred
- Both active South Carolina Property Manager (PM) and Property Manager-in-Charge (PMIC) licenses required
- Previous experience managing multifamily or townhome communities preferred
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and South Carolina landlord-tenant regulations
- Experience with Rent Manager property management software preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions
