Location: Jersey City, NJ
Pay: $20–$23 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule 1: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Schedule 2: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Licensed SORA Security Officer to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This position combines security responsibilities with high-level concierge service, making it ideal for someone who is alert, personable, and experienced in working in residential or commercial properties.
The ideal candidate will have a valid New Jersey SORA guard license and prior experience in a luxury OR corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk or lobby
- Monitor building access and verify visitors, vendors, and deliveries
- Maintain detailed visitor and incident logs
- Conduct routine patrols of the property as required
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or resident concerns
- Coordinate with property management and emergency services when necessary
- Accept and manage packages and deliveries
- Enforce building rules, policies, and safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey SORA Security Guard License (REQUIRED)
- Prior CLASS A BUILDING OR MILITARY EXPIRIENCE (REQUIRED)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential high-rise or luxury property settings
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual is a plus
