\n
Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York City

\n
Employment Type: Full-time
\n
\n
The Opportunity: Zaddy Solutions is recruiting a Senior Solutions Engineer for an international software company building an enterprise platform for governing and securing AI agent connections. We are looking for someone who has already worked as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer and has personally led technical evaluations and proofs of concept. This is not intended to be someone’s first move into pre-sales.
\n
\n
You will partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle. The Account Executive will own the commercial relationship and overall deal. You will own the technical process, including discovery, demonstrations, evaluations, integrations, and the path toward a successful technical decision. The product helps companies control how AI agents connect with internal software, tools, and data. It provides centralized authentication, permissions, policy enforcement, sensitive-data protection, monitoring, and auditability across those connections. Direct experience with Model Context Protocol, or MCP, would be helpful, but it is not required. Established Solutions Engineering experience, technical credibility, resilience, and the ability to learn a developing product are more important.
\n
\n
What You Will Own:
\n
\n
Technical Discovery and Demonstrations:
\n
- \n
- Partner with Account Executives to understand each prospect’s business objectives, technical environment, decision process, and potential risks.
- Lead discovery with engineering, IT, security, compliance, product, and executive stakeholders.
- Translate customer requirements into focused and credible product demonstrations.
- Adjust your level of technical detail based on the audience.
- Identify compatibility gaps, security concerns, and potential blockers before an evaluation begins.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Technical Evaluations and Proofs of Concept:
\n
- \n
- Personally scope and lead enterprise technical evaluations and proofs of concept from discovery through technical close.
- Establish success criteria, responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes before the evaluation begins.
- Configure integrations, identity providers, access policies, and platform settings within customer evaluation environments.
- Clarify responsibilities among the customer, Account Executive, Solutions Engineer, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Track progress, risks, blockers, and next steps throughout the evaluation.
- Keep evaluations moving toward a documented technical decision rather than allowing them to become open-ended trials.
- Conduct a structured technical handoff after the commercial decision.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Integrations, Security, and Architecture:
\n
- \n
- Lead technical discussions involving APIs, authentication, authorization, identity, access controls, data flows, logging, and auditability.
- Guide customers through OAuth, SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and identity-provider configurations.
- Respond to security questionnaires, architecture reviews, and vendor due-diligence requests.
- Investigate customer issues using logs, API documentation, configuration files, and basic code or scripts.
- Reproduce and isolate technical problems before escalating them to Engineering.
- Give customers accurate technical guidance without overpromising functionality or unnecessarily slowing the sales process.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Working with Account Executives:
\n
- \n
- Serve as the primary technical partner to Account Executives throughout the sales cycle.
- Respect the Account Executive’s ownership of the commercial relationship while raising legitimate technical concerns when needed.
- Align before customer meetings on goals, responsibilities, risks, and the intended outcome.
- Debrief after meetings and agree on ownership of next steps.
- Balance technical rigor with the urgency required to keep opportunities moving.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Process and Product Development:
\n
- \n
- Help build repeatable demonstration, evaluation, handoff, and escalation processes.
- Maintain useful demo environments, reference architectures, technical guides, and solution documentation.
- Capture recurring customer needs, technical friction, feature requests, and competitive feedback.
- Work directly with Product and Engineering to turn field feedback into practical improvements.
- Improve internal documentation and troubleshooting resources based on actual customer evaluations.
- Help determine when Engineering involvement is necessary and when an issue can be handled within Solutions Engineering.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
What We Are Looking For:
\n
- \n
- Five or more years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or an equivalent enterprise pre-sales position.
- At least three years personally leading technical evaluations and proofs of concept from discovery through technical close.
- A track record of defining evaluation scope, success criteria, timelines, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise B2B SaaS sales cycles in partnership with Account Executives.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, OAuth, SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and identity providers such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID.
- The ability to investigate technical issues through logs, API documentation, configuration files, and basic code or scripting.
- Strong communication skills across engineering, security, compliance, business, and executive audiences.
- The judgment to recognize when an audience needs more technical depth and when the conversation needs to be simplified.
- Respect for the Account Executive’s role, combined with the confidence to challenge an approach when a real technical risk exists.
- Experience managing multiple active evaluations while communicating priorities, blockers, and tradeoffs clearly.
- Comfort working within a developing product environment where the Solutions Engineering process is still being built.
- Resilience when an evaluation changes direction, a demonstration encounters a problem, or a customer raises an unexpected objection.
- The ability to work from the Midtown Manhattan office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Helpful, but Not Required:
\n
- \n
- Experience with security, identity, API, developer-tool, integration, governance, or infrastructure products.
- Exposure to AI agents, AI governance platforms, Model Context Protocol, or AI-enabled developer tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise security and compliance reviews, including frameworks such as SOC 2 or HIPAA.
- Experience helping build or improve a Solutions Engineering function.
- The ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings or industry events.

Why This Opportunity Is Different: This is an early technical go-to-market hire supporting an emerging enterprise AI product. You will have direct access to the people building the platform and meaningful influence over how the company demonstrates, validates, implements, and improves it. The team operates with the autonomy and ownership of a startup while having the resources and stability of an established international software company. The person hired will not simply inherit a finished pre-sales process. You will help build one while remaining directly involved with customers, Account Executives, Product, and Engineering.
