Our challenge
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Technical Lead – Security Hub Platform to lead the engineering execution, integration, and deployment of a centralized Security Hub platform supporting enterprise Data Private Cloud (DPC) initiatives.
This role will work closely with the Security Hub Architect and serve as the primary technical authority for delivery execution, ensuring successful implementation of platform capabilities across OpenShift, enterprise integrations, security controls, automation workflows, and AI-enabled operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in cloud-native platforms, event-driven architectures, integration engineering, DevOps, and security operations, along with a strong track record of leading large-scale enterprise delivery programs.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical implementation and delivery of Security Hub across all project phases.
- Translate architectural designs into actionable engineering tasks and execution plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including platform, integration, DevOps, data, and QA.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions aligned with architecture standards.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical validations.
- Oversee deployment and configuration of Security Hub services on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Ensure platform scalability, resiliency, performance, and security requirements are achieved.
- Support implementation of high availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring capabilities.
- Lead implementation of event-driven integrations using Kafka and enterprise integration patterns.
- Oversee development of telemetry ingestion, normalization, correlation, and orchestration pipelines.
- Drive integrations with platforms like Keycloak, Ranger, OpenShift APIs, Kafka, ServiceNow, LGTM, Vault/Venafi, DataHub, StorageGRID.
- Validate end-to-end data flows and ensure system interoperability.
- Lead implementation of security controls and enforcement mechanisms.
- Oversee development of automation workflows, remediation playbooks, and orchestration pipelines.
- Support AI-assisted capabilities such as triage, root-cause analysis, and recommendations.
- Coordinate CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment automation.
- Ensure comprehensive testing coverage across functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Support production deployment, hypercare, and post-release stabilization.
- Drive operational readiness including runbooks, SOPs, and monitoring processes.
- Support knowledge transfer and transition to steady-state operations.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in software, platform, cloud, or security engineering.
- 5+ years leading technical teams on large-scale enterprise implementations.
- Strong expertise in OpenShift/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands-on experience in Python, Java, or similar enterprise technologies.
- Strong knowledge of API development and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with Kafka or event-streaming platforms.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
- Exposure to observability, monitoring platforms, and data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of security operations and enterprise security platforms.
- Working knowledge of security controls, IAM, vulnerability management, and Zero Trust.
- Experience working in regulated financial services environments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience implementing Security Hub, SIEM, SOAR, SOC, CNAPP, or CSPM platforms.
- Experience with OpenShift-based enterprise platforms.
- Experience building event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration systems.
- Exposure to AI/automation platforms for security operations.
- Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps).
- Prior experience in large-scale enterprise security programs.
