POSITION: Security Officer

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Security

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and security at the facility. The expectation is that they will provide protection to the organization's employees, inventory, and assets.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Analyze and regularly reevaluate safety/security needs of the organization and ensure that they are met with the proper equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor production and ensure compliance with state regulations regarding security.
  • Manage deliveries carefully, to minimize the risk involved.
  • Regularly reassess the SOPs to ensure they align with the organizations and governing body's safety and security standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, regulators, city officials and the like.
  • Prepare the facilities and staff to respond to emergency situations.
  • Manage and maintain access control for employees and visitors/contractors.
  • Delivery driving and escorting details daily

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in security
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid CT driver's license.
  • Clean driving record (no accidents, suspensions, or more than one point)
  • Minimal of one-year Security experience.
  • No Previous Criminal background.
  • Computer literate with advanced understanding of video/access control systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends when requested
  • Ability to drive Dodge Ram ProMaster 2500

Compensation: $18 - $20 Hour

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm ( Possibility for more hours during the week for delivery and driving)

Mandatory Training Schedule: Will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm ( 2 Week Training Schedule)
