1170 Apartment Corp, located within Linwood Park Apartments, is a well-established cooperative apartment community situated on 35 beautifully maintained acres in the north end of Fort Lee. We are committed to providing a safe, peaceful, and professionally managed environment for our residents and staff.

We are currently seeking a dependable and observant Full-Time Security Guard With Open Avaliability to join our team. This is a hands-on position that requires both foot patrol and vehicle patrol throughout the property. The ideal candidate is responsible, professional, and able to remain calm and courteous while handling a variety of situations.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Location: In person, Fort Lee, NJ
  
  While open availability is required, the schedule we are currently looking to fill is 4:00 PM–12:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property on foot and by vehicle to maintain a visible security presence
• Monitor buildings, grounds, and common areas for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or rule violations
• Check entrance doors to ensure they are secure and functioning properly
• Respond to incidents and document unusual activity
• Report maintenance concerns such as leaks, fire hazards, or damaged property
• Contact emergency services when necessary
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and staff
• Handle difficult situations professionally and calmly

Qualifications

• Must have an active SORA license
• Previous security experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to walk extensively and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license is a plus, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Additional Information

This is an active role and is not a desk-only position. Candidates should be comfortable walking the property for extended periods and conducting regular patrols throughout the shift.
