Schedule: 1st shift & 2nd shift
Position Summary
The Maintenance in Packaging position is responsible for troubleshooting, identifying problems, repairing and maintaining packaging equipment, and ensuring equipment is operating under optimal conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, make adjustments, and ensure equipment is released in optimal operating condition.
- Evaluate equipment quality and performance.
- Review equipment pricing for parts and spare parts.
- Work with electrical systems, electrical diagrams, pneumatic systems, electro/solenoid valves, gearbox service, and tabulator.
- Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding tools.
- Work with automated control systems.
- Respond to and complete maintenance requests and track work orders.
- Avoid prolonged shutdowns for corrective maintenance.
- Support new projects and installations.
- Implement and promote the proper use of equipment.
- Comply with safety and hygiene standards.
- Possess proficiency and excellence as a Maintenance Operator I for a minimum of 4 years.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to work any shift and extended hours.
- At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance position or related field.
- Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or equivalent education or related field preferred.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Forms, Excel, and Drive.
- AutoCAD, PLC, and SolidWorks.
- HACCP knowledge.
- Knowledge and handling of scales.
- Knowledge and handling of metal detectors.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and different staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think, prioritize, and work independently as well as in a team environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicle traffic, a wide range of temperatures, and noise levels.
