We are seeking an embedded firmware engineer for a focused project involving our existing MATLAB/UML-based firmware. While our team works on a ground-up rewrite in C++, this engineer will make several critical changes to the current firmware, test them on our devices, and coordinate with our cloud team to integrate the changes with our backend.

Responsibilities
\n
\n
- \n
- Understand and modify an existing firmware codebase developed through a MATLAB/UML workflow.
- Implement two to three critical changes to the firmware’s business logic.
- Use the MATLAB toolchain to translate the updated models into firmware code.
- Test and debug the changes on Cortex-M-based devices.
- Work with cloud engineers to validate integration with the backend.
- Document the changes and share knowledge with the embedded team.

Required experience
\n
\n
- \n
- Embedded firmware development on Cortex-M or similar microcontrollers.
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB, UML, and the associated code generation workflow.
- C++ development and embedded debugging.
- Experience testing firmware on physical devices and troubleshooting system behavior.
- Ability to work through an existing codebase with limited documentation.
