Compensation: $190,000 - $230,000 + 0.1% - 0.2% equity

Roger's generative AI, starting with its flagship Roger Docs, removes that burden.
Roger Healthcare has raised a $29M Series A and has a lean team of about ten engineers.
The Role
Roger is hiring Senior Software Engineers (5+ years) with a strong backend focus, startup experience (pre-seed to Series B) and a passion for healthcare. You will be a core team member with significant ownership, scaling core services and building new generative AI and LLM-driven workflows in a flat engineering structure with the CTO.
What You Will Do
- Build and ship complex backend services and infrastructure that interface with LLMs and generative AI.
- Own zero-to-one projects, from MVP prototypes to scalable, secure, reliable production systems.
- Scale existing, widely adopted products as they launch to more organizations.
- Improve backend architecture, observability and code quality.
- Collaborate directly with other engineers and the CTO.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of software engineering with a strong backend focus
- Startup experience (pre-seed to Series B)
- Experience building with LLMs or generative AI
- Python and TypeScript, with AWS, Docker and PostgreSQL/MongoDB
- A passion for healthcare
- US work authorization without sponsorship; hybrid 3 days a week in San Francisco
