Technical Service Representative – High-Speed Digital Printers

Join our service team supporting advanced digital printing systems using Kyocera, Epson, and Ricoh printhead technologies.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Service Representative to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and support high-speed digital inkjet printing equipment in customer production environments. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills, understands industrial print workflows, and is comfortable working directly with customers to keep mission-critical systems running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, calibrate, and service high-speed digital printing systems in the field and at customer sites.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, ink delivery, printhead, curing/drying, and motion-control issues.

Support printhead technologies including Kyocera, Epson, and Ricoh-based inkjet platforms.

Perform preventive maintenance, print quality analysis, alignment, nozzle recovery, waveform-related troubleshooting, and system optimization.

Train operators and maintenance teams on safe operation, daily care, cleaning procedures, and basic troubleshooting.

Document service activity, parts usage, root-cause findings, and corrective actions clearly and promptly.

Coordinate with engineering, production, sales, and customer support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.

Maintain a professional customer service approach while working in fast-paced production environments.

Required Qualifications

Experience servicing digital printers, industrial inkjet systems, wide-format printers, label presses, packaging printers, or related production equipment.

Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, fluidic, and software-controlled systems.

Working knowledge of print quality variables such as nozzle performance, jetting consistency, color consistency, registration, media handling, and environmental conditions.

Ability to read technical manuals, electrical diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, service bulletins, and parts documentation.

Comfortable using diagnostic tools, meters, alignment procedures, and service software.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to operators, managers, and internal teams.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Ability to lift service parts and work around production equipment in accordance with safety procedures.

Preferred Experience

Direct experience with Kyocera, Epson, or Ricoh printheads and related inkjet print modules.

Familiarity with UV, aqueous, solvent, pigment, dye, or specialty ink systems.

Experience with RIP software, workflow software, color management, networking, PLCs, servo systems, or industrial automation.

Background in printing, packaging, labels, textiles, graphics, mailing, direct mail, or manufacturing environments.

OEM, dealer, integrator, or field service experience is a plus.
