Job Title: QA/QC Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC Specialist to support a new data center construction project with a significant project scope. In this role, you implement established quality control programs and ensure that construction activities, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work consistently comply with project specifications and client requirements. You collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives in a mission-critical, complex construction environment to uphold high quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain established QA/QC procedures throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, material certifications, and project documentation to verify compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Inspect incoming equipment and materials to confirm conformance with project specifications and approved submittals.
  • Perform detailed quality inspections and field observations on security systems, access control devices, door hardware installations, sensors, low-voltage systems, and equipment commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate testing, startup, and commissioning documentation to support successful system turnover.
  • Track quality issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions from identification through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed QA/QC records, logs, reports, and turnover documentation for project audits and client reviews.
  • Work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, project engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure all work meets established quality standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for quality-related discussions with client representatives and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality meetings and support project audits or client reviews by providing documentation and technical input.
  • Ensure all construction activities align with project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing quality-related insights and supporting continuous improvement of QA/QC processes.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3+ years of QA/QC experience in construction, mission critical, data center, semiconductor, industrial, or closely related environments.
  • Proven experience reviewing construction submittals and equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and project turnover requirements, including testing, startup, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Experience using construction documentation platforms to track submittals, RFIs, and QA/QC records.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and build positive working relationships.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to enforcing quality standards and compliance with specifications and codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience supporting data center or other mission-critical construction projects.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage systems, security systems, access control devices, and building systems.
  • Experience working directly with owners, commissioning agents, or third-party inspectors.
  • Experience in semiconductor or complex commercial construction environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced project entering a critical startup phase.
  • Comfort working on high-profile projects with established QA/QC processes.
  • Interest in long-term career opportunities with leading commercial construction teams.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role at a data center facility located at 1200 N. 40th St. The position is hourly, working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with specific start and end times to be determined based on project needs. You work directly within an active construction and commissioning environment, collaborating with superintendents, project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams. The project operates with established QA/QC processes and documentation platforms, and you use Microsoft Office and construction documentation tools daily to manage records and communication. The environment is mission-critical and fast-paced, offering the opportunity to contribute immediately to a project in a critical startup phase and to grow within a leading commercial contracting setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
