The Junior Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of company facilities and yard properties. This role oversees housekeeping, inventory management, deliveries, routine maintenance coordination, and overall property organization to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while working closely with operations, warehouse, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily appearance, cleanliness, and organization of office, warehouse, and yard facilities.
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, ensuring materials, equipment, and supplies are accurately received, documented, and distributed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of equipment, tools, supplies, and consumables, and assist with ordering and replenishment as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and yard areas to identify maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to schedule repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of materials, equipment, and inventory throughout the property.
  • Assist with fleet, equipment, and asset tracking to support operational efficiency.
  • Maintain records related to maintenance activities, inspections, inventory levels, and vendor services.
  • Support safety initiatives by ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal preparation, landscaping coordination, and facility readiness.
  • Respond promptly to operational issues and help resolve facility-related concerns.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Facilities Management, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities, warehouse, operations, property management, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, deliveries, inventory, or maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform occasional physical tasks related to facility operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in construction, building materials, or equipment yard operations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment and minor maintenance coordination.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
