Position Summary

The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for the technical and functional support of the organization's SaaS applications and related system integrations. This role ensures applications function reliably, data flows accurately between systems, and business processes are effectively supported. This position is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area and requires to be 100% onsite.

The ideal candidate is a technical problem solver with strong functional acumen. This person is expected to develop deep knowledge of the systems they support, use SQL to query and analyze data, troubleshoot basic integration and data issues, and partner effectively with business stakeholders, the Business Relationship team, IT resources, and software vendors.

This role is not limited to traditional requirements gathering. It requires hands-on application support, data analysis, configuration support, integration troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and an ability to understand how technology supports operational workflows.

Application Support & Administration 35% Support assigned SaaS applications, manage configurations, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate vendor resolution.

SQL, Data Analysis & Validation 25% Write queries, validate data, investigate discrepancies, and support reporting or operational analysis needs.

Integration Support & Troubleshooting 20% Assist with troubleshooting integrations, interface errors, API or file-based data issues, and root cause analysis.

Business Process & Stakeholder

Engagement 20% Understand business workflows, document requirements, support process improvements, and partner with business teams.

Key Responsibilities

SaaS Application Ownership & Support

· Serve as the primary technical and functional support resource for assigned SaaS-based business applications.

· Develop deep functional knowledge of supported applications, including configuration, workflows, user roles, data structures, and operational use cases.

· Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production application issues impacting business operations.

· Manage application configuration changes, user access requests, system settings, and support activities within established governance standards.

· Support application releases, upgrades, new features, and vendor-driven changes.

Integration & Data Issue Troubleshooting

· Support integrations between SaaS platforms, internal applications, third-party systems, and reporting or data platforms.

· Troubleshoot basic integration issues, including failed transactions, missing or incorrect data, mapping issues, timing problems, file transfer errors, and interface exceptions.

· Partner with developers, infrastructure resources, vendors, and business stakeholders to identify root cause and coordinate issue resolution.

· Document integration behavior, data mappings, known issues, escalation procedures, and support runbooks.

· Validate integration changes during testing, deployment, and post-production support.

SQL & Data Analysis

· Use SQL to query, validate, analyze, and troubleshoot application and integration data.

· Write and modify queries involving joins, filters, aggregations, and data validation logic.

· Investigate data discrepancies across systems and recommend corrective actions.

· Support reporting requests by identifying data sources, validating results, and helping translate operational questions into data queries.

· Assist with data cleanup, conversion validation, migration support, and data quality improvement efforts.

Business Process & Functional Analysis

· Work closely with business users to understand operational processes, system pain points, and improvement opportunities.

· Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, technical support details, test scenarios, and actionable work items.

· Evaluate whether issues are caused by process gaps, configuration, data, integration logic, user training, or vendor defects.

· Partner with the Business Relationship team to prioritize requests, clarify requirements, and align technology support with business objectives.

· Support process documentation, user guidance, and knowledge transfer for assigned applications.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration

· Coordinate with software vendors to resolve incidents, clarify application capabilities, review enhancement requests, and escalate support issues.

· Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and business impacts clearly to technical teams.

· Facilitate troubleshooting sessions, requirements reviews, testing discussions, and solution walkthroughs.

· Maintain productive working relationships with business stakeholders, the Business Relationship team, software vendors, developers, and IT operations teams.

Testing, Implementation & Continuous Improvement

· Support system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.

· Create test scenarios and validate that changes meet business and technical requirements.

· Assist with deployment planning, cutover support, and post-go-live stabilization.

· Identify recurring issues and recommend process, configuration, documentation, or integration improvements.

· Maintain accurate system documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.

Required Qualifications

· 3-7 years of experience supporting enterprise business applications, SaaS platforms, integrations, or related systems.

· Strong SQL skills, including ability to write queries to investigate data issues, validate results, and support troubleshooting.
