Information Technology Associate

Job Description

Our client, a global merchant bank, is seeking an IT Associate to be a part of the firm’s Information Technology team. The IT Associate would support the firm's IT Department, including the SVP of IT, and the global IT needs of the firm.

This is a temporary to permanent role that reports to the firm's NYC office 4x per week.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Provision / manage end-user accounts (e.g., Microsoft, Zoom, Adobe, etc.) and any account administration needs

\n

• Provide in-person or remote (via TeamViewer or similar tool) end-user support, ranging from physical workstation setup/troubleshooting to remote helpdesk support for junior as well as senior employees

\n

• Assist with the IT needs of employee onboarding and offboarding

\n

• Email security gateway monitoring and intervention and broader email policy management

\n

• Low-code/No-code development/workflow management (i.e., Power Automate flows, SharePoint Lists, Approvals, etc.)

\n

• Coordinate support needs and work with local IT vendors at other sites to resolve issues and deliver new implementations

\n

• Ensure systems are secured, network devices are fully patched and respond to security situations as they develop

\n

• Respond to and remediate network issues and support external resources for more nuanced networking initiatives

\n

• Willingness to work after hours/weekends to support users/projects in other time zones, when needed

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• 4-year degree from an accredited educational institution preferred

\n

• 2-4 years of IT experience, at a financial services organization or in another regulated sector like government, legal or healthcare preferably

\n

• People skills – e.g. friendly, courteous, patient

\n

\n

\n

• Network Administration and Security (Fortinet stack, Meraki, QNAP/Synology, HP Aruba)

\n

• Systems Administration

\n

• Microsoft 365 product suite and Admin Center proficiency

\n

• Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint)

\n

• Microsoft Azure (Azure Files, Azure Storage Sync, Arc, VMs, VLANs)

\n

• Microsoft Intune (MDM) & Autopilot

\n

• Microsoft SharePoint (Online)

\n

• Microsoft Power Platform

\n

• Windows domain services (Active Directory on-prem and Entra, GPO)

\n

• Virtualization/ESXi/Servers (VMware, Windows Server OS)

\n

• Identity management, MFA and SAML integrations (Okta, Duo)
