Onsite IT Advisors LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Computing Application Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, application development, hybrid cloud environments, and infrastructure automation. This role involves leading cloud architecture initiatives, developing technical strategies, and ensuring that cloud solutions meet organizational security, performance, and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, developers, and business stakeholders to implement modern cloud technologies, improve system reliability, and support enterprise technology modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud application architectures.
• Evaluate existing IT infrastructure and recommend appropriate cloud, on-premises, or hybrid solutions.
• Lead cloud architecture planning, technical design discussions, and implementation strategies.
• Architect, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure within AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop and support enterprise applications using .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL.
• Establish and maintain cloud security standards, architecture guidelines, and governance practices.
• Implement infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to improve deployment efficiency.
• Work with Linux/Unix environments, including system administration, troubleshooting, and shell scripting.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, solution development, and team productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective cloud solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentoring to development and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing, configuring, and administering enterprise applications in cloud environments.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience with .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL.
• Proven experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application architecture, engineering standards, and governance requirements.
• Experience using generative AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or Claude Code.
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments.
• Experience working with Linux or Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and provide architectural guidance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination, as required for the position.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), subject to applicable contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud cost optimization, resource management, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Previous experience supporting federal government IT contracts, large-scale enterprise modernization, or complex technology transformation projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent cloud architecture certification.
• Experience implementing cloud-native technologies, automation frameworks, and enterprise security best practices.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering environments.
