We are seeking a mature, responsible, highly hands-on Groundskeeper & Maintenance Technician to help maintain a private residence and ranch-style estate in Largo, Florida.This is a working, on-the-ground position for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with their hands, solving problems, and taking personal responsibility for keeping a property in excellent condition.The majority of the work will be outdoors, with a strong focus on landscaping, groundskeeping, exterior property maintenance, and hands-on projects around the property and barn.This is not a desk-based management position. You will personally perform the work while also helping coordinate and lead the groundskeeping activities of another team member.Your MissionTake ownership of the day-to-day care of the estate's grounds and exterior areas, proactively identify what needs attention, and ensure the property remains safe, functional, organized, and consistently well maintained.What You'll Do
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and general landscaping and groundskeeping.
- Maintain the land and exterior areas of the property to a consistently high standard.
- Regularly walk and inspect the property to identify maintenance, landscaping, repair, or safety needs and take appropriate action.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and improvement projects throughout the property and barn areas.
- Repair fences, install or repair gates, and handle similar exterior maintenance projects.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems.
- Perform basic general maintenance and minor repairs, including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other property upkeep when within your capabilities.
- Keep exterior areas clean, organized, safe, and presentable.
- Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and materials required for ongoing property care.
- Ensure outdoor equipment is maintained, properly stored, and in good working condition.
- Pick up, load, transport, and unload landscaping and maintenance materials such as mulch, soil, sod/grass patches, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Comfortably operate and drive a pickup truck for property-related work and supply runs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized work is required while personally handling work that can reasonably be completed in-house.
- Help coordinate and lead another groundskeeping team member, ensuring work is organized and completed properly.
- Proactively address issues rather than waiting to be directed on every task.
- Support the overall upkeep and organization of the estate as property needs arise.

- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
- Reliable and consistent — you follow through and keep things in order.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards without constant supervision.
- Comfortable working in a private, trust-based estate environment.
Preferred Background
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, estate maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
- Strong hands-on landscaping and groundskeeping experience.
- Experience with mowing, trimming, pruning, land maintenance, and general exterior property care.
- Experience performing practical maintenance and repair projects.
- Comfortable using landscaping equipment, power tools, tractors, and other property-maintenance equipment.
- Comfortable driving a pickup truck and transporting property or landscaping materials.
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills are strongly preferred.
- Experience with irrigation systems is a plus.
- Experience repairing fences and installing or repairing gates is preferred.
- Previous lead or team-coordination experience is a plus.
