Summary: Coordinates APQP activities (schedule, cost, risk, resources, customer satisfaction), including new product introduction and production / customer approval, along with related processes to ensure effective and economical implementation of new products / processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, project management skills and experience working within a matrix organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinates the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) function, supports process development tasks and manufacturing for all new products, prototypes and other significant engineering changes.

Reviews and analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop prototypes and production parts through product life cycle.

Monitors and manages day-to-day progress for pre-production process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to personnel from quality, manufacturing, production, sales, purchasing and logistics, to ensure overall project timing remains on track. Develop and maintain project timelines, monitor costs and budgets (i.e., Non-Recurring Engineering expenses), as well as manage scope creep and risks throughout the project.

Communicates with customers to close open action items to ensure overall project requirements are on track and provides internal updates to Corporate Staff.

Supports manufacturing with continuous improvement projects to increase production levels while maintaining or improving production costs, yields, quality, and safety.

Participates in the root cause and corrective action process; utilizes formal problem-solving techniques.

Assures that all activities and duties are executed in accordance with ATP policies and procedures, Quality Management System standards, ATP ERP system and any other application computer system.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities; however, ideal candidate must be comfortable in directing responsibility specifically to meeting project objectives

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Project is also required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired

Other Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication, negotiating and presentation skills

Strong problem-solving abilities with dynamic, technical environment
