Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced IT Director to lead technology strategy and operations for the organization in San Antonio, Texas. This role serves as a key partner to leadership, aligning technology priorities with business goals while fostering reliable, secure, and efficient systems across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings a balanced approach to strategic planning, operational oversight, and stakeholder collaboration, with the ability to guide modernization efforts in a practical and business-focused way.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with executives and department leaders to assess operational needs and shape technology solutions that support organizational goals.
• Provide overall direction for IT priorities, serving as the primary advisor on technology decisions, planning, and investment alignment.
• Oversee core infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, identity and access practices, backup readiness, and business continuity measures to reduce risk and maintain stability.
• Manage relationships with external service providers and technology vendors, setting expectations, reviewing performance, and ensuring delivery meets agreed service standards.
• Guide the administration and improvement of enterprise applications, integrated systems, data flows, and workflow platforms to support effective business operations.
• Lead technology initiatives such as system upgrades, implementations, migrations, and process improvement efforts from planning through execution.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, documentation, and operating procedures that improve consistency, governance, and compliance.
• Support budgeting and long-range technology planning by evaluating priorities, recommending investments, and aligning resources with high-impact needs.
• Promote organization-wide adoption of tools and processes by building strong cross-functional relationships and encouraging a service-oriented, solutions-focused technology environment.• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience leading IT, business technology, systems, or technology operations functions.
• Demonstrated success creating technology strategy and converting business objectives into practical roadmaps and execution plans.
• Experience managing managed service providers, technology vendors, contracts, service expectations, and performance outcomes.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, identity and access management, data integrations, and business applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to executives, staff, and external partners.
• Proficiency with technologies such as Active Directory, backup solutions, Cisco technologies, hardware environments, configuration management, CRM platforms, and ERP systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a lean, evolving environment with a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement mindset.
