Job Description
Job DescriptionAbout the Role
Join a fast-moving, pre-seed AI startup that is redefining how top talent finds their next opportunity — automating the headhunting process end-to-end with an agentic AI system. As a Founding Engineer Intern, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team, shipping production features daily and owning meaningful pieces of the product from ideation to deployment. This is a high-ownership, high-output role for a builder who thrives in lean, early-stage environments.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. Visa sponsorship is available.
What You'll Do
-
Build and ship end-to-end features to production on a daily cadence.
-
Collaborate closely with the CTO and founding team to own components from ideation through deployment.
-
Develop and iterate on a fully agentic system designed to automate headhunting end-to-end.
-
Engage directly with users to measure impact on hiring speed and candidate experience.
-
Contribute to a fast, high-output, low-ego engineering culture.
-
Work in a hybrid/hacker-house setup with a strong ownership mindset.
What We're Looking For
Dealbreakers (must-haves):
-
6+ months of professional or project-based experience building production features in TypeScript and React.
-
Full-stack development focus with a demonstrated ability to build and ship end-to-end features — not primarily an ML engineer or heavily specialized in a single language (e.g., Python, C++).
-
Currently enrolled in or actively pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Required:
-
Production experience with Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a React/TypeScript stack.
-
Experience using Cursor as a development tool.
-
Portfolio or GitHub showcasing full-stack projects and open-source contributions.
-
Standout credentials or projects — e.g., strong GPA, notable university, active GitHub, or recognized side projects.
-
Prior experience in entrepreneurial or early-stage environments with a rapid iteration and shipping cadence.
-
Strong ownership mindset — comfortable driving features from concept to production independently.
Nice to Have:
-
Openness to working in hacker-house settings, including locations in Latin America.
-
Comfort with a high-intensity, 7-day-a-week work pace during the internship.
