Technical Administrator
We are seeking an individual who would be part of a close dynamic team to support operations based in Baltimore at our client’s operations center and eventually remotely. We provide video surveillance software solutions for automated video surveillance systems installed at rail networks, critical infrastructure and city centers.
We are looking for one self-motivated individual. Successful applicants must comfortable to work on their own, be flexible, and have the ability to embrace the constantly changing needs of its clients. The appropriate candidate will understand the video surveillance market and be able to anticipate the requirements of its clients.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
• Assistance with the maintenance of existing software and hardware contract
• Create, required database daily reports in response to business user needs, and
Interact and communicate with both the Client and third party contractors regarding the maintenance of the system and trouble shooting
· Provide timely & accurate status updates to customers and relevant internal stakeholders
• Coordinate data migrations between systems,
• Help with integration of software with customer networks, and ongoing customer support
• Build, install, configure and support database servers, including execution of scripts and queries.
The Systems Administrator will report to our Senior Systems Engineer and be the technical point of contact for client in Baltimore, MD and will also be responsible for:
• Daily systems administration – servers, client workstations & ups.
· Microsoft monthly updates using WSUS
• Customer network integration,
• Ongoing technical support, and
• Providing customer technical feedback
Qualifications and Abilities
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and networks,
• Database experience – SQL, use of database configuration tools and querying,
• Experience with Server Operating systems Server 2016 and 2022
• Experience troubleshooting IP networks,
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills,
• Good knowledge of internet protocols,
• Good written and oral communication skills,
• Strong technical documentation skills,
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed,
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with server, PC hardware and Microsoft OS software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience
Applicant must have the following skills and work experience and tenure:
• Commonly used video protocols and providing customer service on commercial grade, technical, or enterprise applications (i.e., Level 2 or Level 3 support),
• Minimum 5 years work experience with IP networking, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP,
• Management of large quantities of Servers (100+), experience/knowledge of commands and file structure.
• Be willing and able to pass both criminal background checks, and drug tests
• Available from 8am to 5pm
Education
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, or systems engineering.
