Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Job Location: Portage, Michigan
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, furnaces, vacuum systems, compressors, and auxiliary systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment issues
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Complete maintenance logs, documentation, and preventative maintenance records
• Assist with tooling changes and equipment adjustments as needed
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate reordering of critical components
• Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards
• Inspect safety systems including guards, emergency stops, and machine protections
• Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and production efficiency
Requirements
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Experience performing preventative maintenance programs
• MIG and TIG welding experience is preferred but not required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and compliance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
