Why Join Fountaine Information Systems (FIS)?

At FIS, we’re more than a low-voltage integrator—we are builders of solutions that protect and connect people. Our culture is built on integrity, teamwork, and mastery of the craft. We believe that when our team members succeed, our clients succeed.

We don't just offer a job; we offer a career path. Whether you are an established leader looking for a company that respects your expertise, or a skilled technician ready to elevate your career, we provide the training, top-tier technology, and team support to help you thrive.

Choose Your Path: Two Roles, One Great Team

We are actively hiring for two distinct tiers. Please specify which role you are applying for in your application:

1. Lead Security Technician (5+ Years Experience)

You are the face of FIS on-site. You will run the day-to-day execution of projects, coordinate with Project Managers, GCs, and clients, and mentor a small crew while remaining hands-on with complex installations.

  • Crew Leadership: Direct 1–3 technicians, set the daily plan, track materials, and maintain a safe, efficient job site.

  • Advanced Integration: Run complex system commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting for access control, intrusion, and IP CCTV.

2. Security Technician (1–3 Years Experience)

You are a skilled installer looking to grow. You will work alongside our Lead Technicians, executing high-quality installs, learning advanced systems, and honing your trade.

  • Hands-on Execution: Focus on clean pulling/dressing of cable, mounting devices, and perfecting your hardware installation.

  • Willingness to Learn: Bring a strong work ethic, a desire to master low-voltage systems, and a team-first attitude.

Core Responsibilities (Both Levels)

  • Door Hardware Integration: Install and service electric strikes, maglocks, electrified mortise/cylindrical locks, exit devices, REXs, automatic operators, and closers.

  • Conduit Pathways: Measure, bend, cut, and route EMT, PVC, and flex/MC conduit to a professional finish.

  • System Installations: Install and troubleshoot access control panels, card readers, burglar alarm systems (contacts, motion detectors), and IP video surveillance.

  • Blueprints & Diagrams: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams, and door schedules.

  • Craftsmanship: Deliver clean, labeled, and dressed finishes that meet FIS quality standards.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience: 5+ years for Lead (including crew management); 1–3 years for Technician (or trade school equivalent).

  • Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of low-voltage cabling, terminations, testing, and basic networking (IP addressing, PoE).

  • The Right Attitude: A positive, solutions-oriented mindset. You take pride in your work and help those around you succeed.

  • Physical Ability: Safe use of hand/power tools, ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably from heights.

  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-Haves (Stand Out from the Crowd):

  • Manufacturer Certifications (e.g., Brivo, Kantech, DSC, Software House, Genetec, Openpath, etc.).

  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification.

  • Lift certifications (Scissor, Boom, Forklift).

  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 72, and ADA compliance.

Premium Benefits & Compensation

We take care of our team with a highly competitive package:

  • Financial Security: $30.00 – $50.00/hr + Overtime opportunities + 401(k) with employer match.

  • Sign-On Bonus: Available for qualified, experienced candidates.

  • Company Wheels: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, fuel card, and tool allowance.

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, plus Life & Disability insurance.

  • Work-Life Balance: Paid vacation, sick time, and paid holidays.

  • Growth: Paid professional development, manufacturer training, and certifications.

  • Extras: Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
