Armed Security Supervisor

Metro Public Safety and Investigations

Location: Kansas City Metro.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating days off. Must be willing to work days, evenings, and/or overnights.

Metro Public Safety and Investigations is hiring an Armed Security Supervisor to lead officers and oversee daily security operations. We are looking for a dependable leader who communicates clearly, makes sound decisions under pressure, and sets the example for professional conduct.

Responsibilities

Supervise assigned officers, conduct shift briefings, and ensure posts are staffed and post orders are followed.
Inspect sites and monitor officer readiness, uniforms, equipment, and performance.
Coordinate schedules, breaks, and coverage; report staffing needs to management.
Coach and train officers, document performance concerns, and follow company procedures for corrective action.
Respond to incidents, support de-escalation, and coordinate with dispatch and emergency responders.
Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness; provide timely notifications and shift summaries.
Address client concerns and enforce company safety, firearm, and use-of-force policies.

Qualifications

3 years of prior security experience and demonstrated leadership ability; 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain the armed security license required for the assignment.
Must pass a criminal history background check.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
Must supply your own handgun and required duty gear that meet company standards.
Strong communication, report-writing, and organizational skills.
Available to work overnights and weekends as required.
