What you'll do:
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, hospital visits, and other approved destinations.
- Schedule appointments, communicate details to residents and primary contacts, and arrange alternate transportation when necessary.
- Ensure residents travel with all required documentation and provide updates to nursing staff upon return.
- Operate company vehicles safely, including assisting residents with loading, unloading, and securing wheelchairs while following all traffic and safety regulations.
- Maintain transport vehicles by monitoring cleanliness, fuel levels, maintenance schedules, registrations, and reporting any issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and equipment replacement.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspections, repair records, and support Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents, staff, vendors, inspectors, and other external partners while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities, safely operate hand and power tools, and perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:
- Must be at least 25 years of age with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of maintenance experience required; healthcare, medical transport, or CNA experience preferred.
- Experience working with elderly or skilled nursing residents is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance systems.
- Reliable, organized, professional, and able to manage a flexible schedule with dependable attendance.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs., push or move 200+ lbs. when assisting residents and equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods as needed.
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses, with adequate vision and hearing to safely perform essential job duties.
