Position Overview:

\n

\n
• We are looking for a Senior Python/Django Developer to work on scalable software applications, backend services, data-processing solutions and integrations supporting its higher-education technology environment.

\n

• We works with universities and provides technology and services across online and hybrid learning, enrollment, learner support, learning platforms, data integration and related higher-education systems.

\n

• The candidate should therefore have strong recent experience working on an education technology, higher-education, e-learning, LMS, student platform or similar learning platform.

\n

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Design, develop and maintain high-performance Python applications.

\n

• Develop backend applications and APIs using Python/Django.

\n

• Build scalable data-processing solutions using Python, Pandas, NumPy and PySpark.

\n

• Work with large and complex datasets.

\n

• Develop integrations between enterprise applications and data platforms.

\n

• Work with PostgreSQL, Oracle and other SQL-based platforms.

\n

• Build and support cloud-based applications using AWS.

\n

• Work with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS and Redshift.

\n

• Containerize applications using Docker.

\n

• Work with Git, Linux and CI/CD processes.

\n

• Troubleshoot application and production issues.

\n

• Improve application performance, scalability and reliability.

\n

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and technical documentation.

\n

• Work with software engineers, data professionals, architects and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

\n

\n

\n

Required Skills:

\n

\n
• 8–10+ years of software development experience.

\n

• Strong hands-on Python.

\n

• Strong hands-on Django.

\n

• Recent experience working with a higher-education, EdTech, e-learning, LMS, student or learning platform.

\n

• Experience building enterprise applications and backend services.

\n

• Strong experience with SQL.

\n

• PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.

\n

• Pandas.

\n

• NumPy.

\n

• PySpark.

\n

• AWS.

\n

• Docker.

\n

• Git.

\n

• Linux.

\n

• CI/CD.

\n

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.

\n

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

\n

\n

\n

Critical Requirement: Migrations

\n

The candidate must have completed at least two full migrations.

\n

The resume should clearly explain:

\n

\n
• What system/application was migrated.

\n

• From what platform/technology to what platform/technology.

\n

• The candidate's specific role in the migration.

\n

• Whether they handled development, data migration, integration, testing and deployment.

\n

• Whether the migration was taken through production.

\n

• Recent education-platform experience is mandatory.

\n
