Job Description
The Data Center ISP/OSP Project Assistant supports the successful execution of outside plant fiber construction projects within large-scale data center environments. This role works closely with Project Managers, field crews, customers, and subcontractors to help coordinate project activities, maintain documentation, and ensure projects progress according to schedule. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning, tracking schedules and deliverables, updating project records, processing documentation, coordinating materials and resources, and supporting communication between field and office teams. The Project Assistant helps ensure that project information is accurate, organized, and available to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Successful candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current DOT medical card preferred.
- 1+ years of experience supporting construction, telecommunications, low-voltage, fiber, or related projects.
- Exposure to data center, fiber optics, structured cabling, networking, DAS, security, or fire alarm projects is a plus.
- Basic understanding of outside plant fiber construction methods and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and project documentation.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and electronic field reporting systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Bluebeam or similar document review software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with field teams, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to track project documentation, schedules, and material needs
