What You’ll Do as a Housing Specialist
As a Housing Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, helping individuals and families navigate the housing process and secure safe, stable living arrangements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients in identifying and securing appropriate housing options.
- Collaborating with landlords, property managers, and community partners to expand housing opportunities.
- Providing guidance on housing applications, rental agreements, and tenant rights.
- Supporting clients in overcoming barriers to housing, such as credit or rental history challenges.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to track client progress.
- Staying informed about local housing resources, policies, and regulations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual with the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in housing services, social work, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with housing resources, tenant rights, and community support systems.
- Mindset: A commitment to empowering individuals and fostering independence.
