Position – Janitor
Job Location – Menomonie, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Long-Term Temporary to Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Starting Pay – $17.00 per hour
Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off *upon hire, holiday parties, employee appreciation events, and other company-sponsored activities after permanent hire
Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Required Experience – Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience required
Join a clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility producing animal health and nutritional products, including soft chews, gels, and dry mixes. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean work environment and is willing to assist with packaging duties as needed. The company is looking for dependable, self-motivated individuals with a positive, "get it done" attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily janitorial duties throughout office and manufacturing areas
- Mop floors and scrub production floor surfaces
- Vacuum office spaces
- Empty trash and recycling containers
- Clean, sanitize, and restock all restroom supplies
- Dust offices, common areas, and workspaces
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- Assist with packaging and production support when cleaning duties are complete
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE while working in production areas
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to placement
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Willingness to assist in packaging or production when needed
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Clean, air-conditioned manufacturing and shipping facility
- Combination of office and production floor cleaning responsibilities
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout the shift
- Required to wear appropriate PPE while working on the production floor
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs
