Job DescriptionAbout the Role

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Engineering Leaders to test new features, define test strategies, expand automated test coverage, and ensure seamless releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to review product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.
• Execution & Verification: Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and sanity testing across web applications, APIs, and background services.
• Test Automation: Design, maintain, and expand automated test suites (UI and API level) to increase coverage and accelerate release cycles.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and prioritize bugs using Jira/Atlassian tools with clear steps to reproduce, logs, and expected behavior.
• Release Quality & Support: Participate in release preparation and sign-offs, ensuring that sprint scope meets definition-of-done and quality criteria before reaching production.
• Process Continuous Improvement: Advocate for QA best practices early in the software development lifecycle (Shift-Left testing) and continuously improve test frameworks and deployment verification steps.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance for modern web applications.
• API Testing: Proficient in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Bruno, REST Assured) and understanding RESTful API architecture.
• Automation Skills: Experience writing and maintaining automated scripts using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or PyTest.
• Methodology: Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical mindset, sharp attention to detail, and excellent verbal/written communication skills to work effectively with engineering teams.
• Tools: Experience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Git/version control systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloudflare Workers/Pages).
• Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
• Experience working in B2B SaaS environments or applicant tracking / HR technology platforms.
