POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect with 15+ years of professional experience to act as a technical leader, master planner, and client partner for complex healthcare infrastructure projects. In this role, you will champion the design, execution, and regulatory approval of large-scale clinical environments, hospital expansions, and specialized medical facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Medical Planning & Programming: Direct comprehensive programmatic space definitions, medical equipment integration layouts, and efficient patient-staff operational workflows.
· Client & Stakeholder Management: Lead user group workshops with hospital executives, facilities managers, and clinical staff to align technical architectural execution with healthcare business strategies.
· Regulatory & Code Compliance: Secure regulatory approvals by providing expert guidance on FGI Guidelines, NFPA 101 Life Safety Codes, ADA mandates, and state licensing boards (such as OSHPD/HCAI or regional health department standards).
· Technical Quality Control: Manage the technical delivery of Construction Documents (CDs) and specifications, paying close attention to Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and complex MEP/structural system integration.
· Team Leadership: Mentor, supervise, and grow internal architectural teams, ensuring exceptional design fidelity and professional staff development.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience: 15+ years of progressive professional experience in architecture, with a minimum of 8–10 years focused strictly on healthcare architecture or medical planning.
· Licensure: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and an active US state architectural license (Georgia registration preferred or eligible via NCARB reciprocity).
· Software Mastery: Expert proficiency driving multi-disciplinary coordination inside Autodesk Revit and specialized healthcare planning software.
· Industry Credentials: Professional certification via the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) or EDAC (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification) is strongly preferred.
