LIMS Administrator - QBench, Enovia 3DX

Location: Danbury, CT - onsite Mon-Fri

Pay: 110k - 120k DOE MAX + package

Position Overview
We are a global leader in automotive and industrial performance fluids and heavy-duty thermal management systems. We are seeking an experienced LIMS Administrator to manage, optimize, and support laboratory information management systems that enable accurate, compliant, and efficient laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation and administration of LIMS platforms (including QBench), database maintenance, system integrations, and coordination with laboratory and IT teams to ensure reliable data flow, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CLIA), and seamless connectivity with laboratory equipment, LIS, and business systems such as D365 F&O. Experience with Enovia 3DX is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain LIMS platforms (primary experience with QBench); plan and implement updates, patches, and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Perform database administration tasks for systems supporting LIMS (backup/restore, performance tuning, capacity planning) and coordinate with DBAs as required.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between LIMS, LIS, laboratory instruments, ERP systems (D365 F&O), and third-party applications using APIs, middleware, HL7, RESTful services, or file-based exchanges.
• Support lab equipment interfacing and troubleshoot instrument communication issues; collaborate with vendors and laboratory staff during onboarding and maintenance of instruments.
• Ensure system validation, documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements including HIPAA and CLIA; support audits and contribute to SOPs and change control processes.
• Monitor system health, logs, and performance; investigate incidents, implement fixes and preventive measures, and maintain an incident tracking process.
• Provide technical support and training to laboratory users, create user guides, and manage user access, roles, and permissions following least-privilege principles.
• Work with network and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable connectivity, security, backups, and disaster recovery for LIMS environments.
• Participate in projects to implement new LIMS features, integrations, or laboratory workflows; act as subject matter expert for LIMS-related initiatives.
• Maintain strong cross-functional communication with laboratory operations, quality, compliance, IT infrastructure, and vendor partners to align system capabilities with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience administering LIMS systems (experience with QBench strongly preferred).
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and laboratory operations, including instrument interfacing and workflow design.
• Database administration experience (SQL Server, Oracle or similar): backup/restore procedures, query optimization, performance tuning, and basic scripting.
• Hands-on experience integrating systems (APIs, HL7, REST, middleware) and working with ERP systems such as D365 F&O is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, CLIA) and experience supporting audits and validation evidence.
• Familiarity with PLM systems such as Enovia 3DX is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application, network, and infrastructure layers; experience coordinating with network teams for connectivity and security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to train users, create documentation, and work with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
