Schedule: Full-Time - Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm

GL Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Janitor / Custodian for a well-established chemical distribution and manufacturing facility in Orlando.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with professional janitorial or custodial experience who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace. The position involves cleaning both warehouse and office environments, including restrooms and common areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize warehouse areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors throughout the facility
- Operate janitorial equipment such as floor polishers/buffers, industrial vacuums, and other commercial cleaning equipment
- Clean and maintain warehouse shelving, walls, equipment areas, and other surfaces
- Safely handle and transport cleaning supplies, chemicals, and materials
- Occasionally use a scissor lift to clean elevated areas, including the tops of warehouse shelving/racking
- Empty trash and properly dispose of waste
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and chemical-handling requirements
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance or supply needs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional janitorial/custodial experience required
- Previous experience cleaning warehouse or industrial facilities strongly preferred
- Experience operating commercial janitorial equipment, including buffers/polishers and industrial vacuums
- Must be comfortable cleaning restrooms
- Must be comfortable working at heights and using a scissor lift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. as needed
- Comfortable working around cleaning products and chemicals
- Dependable transportation and strong attendance
- Ability to work independently and stay productive with limited supervision
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
Pay & Benefits
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for a pay increase upon permanent hire. Once hired permanently, employees may also become eligible for company benefits, including:
