BG Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a thriving apartment community in Carneys Point Township, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional who takes pride in delivering quality work, maintaining safe and attractive living environments, and providing exceptional service to residents.
Position Summary
The Apartment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition and appearance of the community through completion of service requests, preventative maintenance, unit turns, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience in apartment maintenance and possess a strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Perform basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Conduct electrical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents through unit turns and make-ready processes
- Interior and exterior painting as needed
- General cleaning and upkeep of vacant units, common areas, and community grounds
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist with property appearance and curb appeal initiatives
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
- Collaborate with management and maintenance team members to ensure community standards are met
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance repairs
- Experience with apartment turns and make-readies
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
