Director of IT
Exciting opportunity to join our 98+ year-old, family-owned, and growing organization as Director of IT. Based out of our corporate headquarters in Tigard, Oregon, this executive leadership role reports to the Vice President of Operations and is a member of the executive team responsible for shaping the company's technology strategy.
Consolidated Supply Co. is a fifth-generation, family-owned business that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for nearly a century. What started in Portland, Oregon has grown into a multi-state organization with 22 branch locations and over 500 employees. The company is actively modernizing systems, strengthening digital capabilities, and investing in technology to support the next century of growth.
The company is executing a significant transition to a distribution center operating model, including the launch of our first automated distribution center. You will support this transformation, which spans warehouse management systems, automation platforms, advanced systems integration, and infrastructure designed to improve inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer service.

Job Description
The Director of IT serves as the company's senior technology leader and a member of the executive leadership team. You are responsible for developing and executing the company's technology strategy in support of operational growth, digital modernization, and long-term business objectives.
This role is responsible for all aspects of information technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems, and technology operations across our organization. You are accountable for ensuring technology systems are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with the business needs, including supporting the distribution center transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
· Leading the company's IT and cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management efforts.
· Leading and developing a technology team focused on accountability, responsiveness, and customer service to branch and operational teams.
· Supporting the company's automated distribution center initiatives, including warehouse management systems, automation platforms, infrastructure, and systems integration.
· Partnering with executive leadership on technology investments, modernization initiatives, and long-term strategic planning.
· Overseeing enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, Microsoft 365 technologies, networking, telecommunications, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
· Managing vendor relationships, technology contracts, and IT budgeting to ensure strong operational and financial outcomes.
· Leading enterprise technology projects and organizational change initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will bring strong executive presence, business acumen, cybersecurity leadership, and experience in complex, multi-site operations. This role requires a leader who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization while balancing strategic planning with operational execution.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive IT and information security experience, including 5+ years leading a technology organization.
· Knowledge of management information systems; multiple location operations; financial management; software applications; networks; and supervisory practices.
· Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365 technologies, cloud environments, networking, security, and data governance.
· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate knowledge into practical solutions.
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Establish and maintain good customer, vendor, and employee relations.
· Ability to speak, read, and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.
