We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience leading infrastructure consolidations, systems integrations, and enterprise migration projects. This role will play a critical part in integrating newly acquired organizations into the technology environment.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise across hybrid infrastructure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware, storage platforms, networking, and security. You will lead technical integration efforts from discovery through execution, ensuring seamless transitions into ETG standards while minimizing operational disruption.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentity & Directory Services Integration
- Design and execute Active Directory consolidation strategies for acquired organizations.
- Establish and manage cross-domain and cross-forest trusts.
- Migrate AD DS objects, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Transition legacy identity environments into ETG's hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID architecture.
Microsoft 365 Tenant Consolidation
- Lead tenant-to-tenant migrations into the corporate Microsoft 365 environment.
- Manage migrations across Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Coordinate user, device, and identity transitions while maintaining business continuity.
Infrastructure, Virtualization & Storage Migration
- Perform technical assessments of acquired infrastructure environments.
- Plan and execute migrations of VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter and ESXi hosts.
- Consolidate or decommission SAN/NAS storage platforms and legacy hardware infrastructure.
- Support server modernization and platform standardization initiatives.
Network & Security Integration
- Establish secure connectivity between acquired and corporate environments.
- Configure and support site-to-site VPNs, VLAN segmentation, routing, and firewall integrations.
- Migrate security policies and network configurations into ETG's standardized Fortinet environment.
Endpoint & Server Modernization
- Lead workstation and server onboarding into corporate management platforms.
- Re-provision, domain-join, or Entra ID-join devices as required.
- Ensure compliance with corporate security, patching, and endpoint protection standards.
Infrastructure Decommissioning
- Plan and execute the retirement of legacy systems following successful migrations.
- Decommission domain controllers, physical servers, hypervisors, storage arrays, and redundant cloud services.
- Validate data retention, compliance, and business requirements prior to shutdown activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Infrastructure Architect.
- Proven success delivering complex infrastructure integrations, domain consolidations, or M&A technology migrations.
- Expert knowledge of:
- Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
- DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy (GPO)
- Cross-forest trusts and identity migration methodologies
- Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi)
- Physical server infrastructure (Dell, HPE)
- SAN/NAS storage technologies
- Microsoft 365 administration and migrations
- Intune and endpoint management
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
- VLANs
- Routing and switching
- Site-to-site VPNs
- Firewall administration
- Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise migration platforms such as:
- Quest
- BitTitan
- AvePoint
- CloudFuze
- Prior experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, or large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives.
- Fortinet firewall administration experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Fortinet, or Azure certifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
