Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL, responsible for the upkeep and repair of property buildings, systems, and equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, and completing maintenance and repairs in apartments, common areas, and building systems. The role involves executing preventive maintenance plans, responding to work orders in a timely manner, and ensuring safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities for residents and staff. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with property management and other team members, maintain accurate records of work performed, and comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for building systems, appliances, and general property infrastructure.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and identify effective solutions.
  • \n

  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected downtime.
  • \n

  • Background in Industrial Maintenance or related maintenance environments is preferred.
  • \n

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely, and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • \n

  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
  • \n

  • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with residents and team members.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in maintenance trades are a plus.
  • \n

  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
  • \n

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation or respond to occasional after-hours emergencies as needed.
