Mechanic-in-Training

$20/hr – Flexible Schedule
We are seeking a Mechanic-in-Training to assist with maintenance and repair work at water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to build hands-on experience working with pumps, motors, electrical components, and industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with repair and replacement of water and wastewater plant motors, pumps, and related mechanical equipment
• Assist electricians with repair and replacement of electrical motors, panels, and components
• Help diagnose equipment failures and support troubleshooting and repair efforts
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment and systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work alongside experienced maintenance and operations personnel
Qualifications:
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience preferred
• Experience with maintenance, construction, automotive repair, farming equipment, industrial equipment, or similar trades is a plus
• Basic understanding of tools and equipment
• Willingness to learn mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license preferred
