Help us protect the customer experience at Sintel by ensuring every part meets spec, every time. In this role, you will uphold Sintel’s Quality Policy and follow our Quality Manual, operating procedures, and job-specific work instructions.
Day in the life
You start on the floor, confirming first-piece setups, move through in-process checks to keep production on target, and finish shifts by validating final inspection results and gage calibrations. Along the way, you provide clear guidance to operators, collaborate with supervisors, and jump on any quality concern before it becomes a defect.
What you will do
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections against engineering prints, ISIRs, and control plans using a range of measurement gages.
- Configure and stage gaging and fixturing for operators as requested to maintain reliable measurement at the point of use.
- Assist customers and vendors to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Support operators and supervisors with inspection techniques and product quality problem-solving.
- Interpret customer-specific quality requirements and translate them into actionable inspection criteria.
- Complete ISIRs and prepare, compile, and submit PPAP documentation per customer requirements.
- Drive nonconforming material through the 8D process, documenting actions and following through to resolution.
- Perform and record gage calibration activities to keep measurement systems reliable.
- Inspect parts processed by outside special processes such as e‑coat and plating to verify conformance.
