Job DescriptionMAINTENANCE ASSISTANTAutomation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for a hotel based in McLean, VA. In this role, you will support daily facility upkeep, assist with general maintenance tasks, and help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Pay Rate$18.00 per hourSchedule and HoursAs needed; flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends.Maintenance Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Take out trash from guest areas, common areas, and designated collection points every morning.
- Assist with routine building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and completing minor touch-up work.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, walkways, and common areas.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
- Assist with room inspections and preparation as needed.
- Support housekeeping and hotel staff with facility-related needs.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use maintenance tools and equipment.
- Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as required.
Maintenance Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
