Our client, a U.S. defense and government systems integration company, needs a Project Manager to lead execution of C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) projects under a Program Manager. You'll own the full lifecycle, from requirements and integration through deployment, sustainment, and close-out. You'll work with engineering, production, quality, field services, supply chain, finance, and contracts, and interface with government customers, partners, and suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute C5ISR projects across development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment
- Manage cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, and risk to maintain contract compliance
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVMS) and standard project controls
- Build and run risk frameworks: risk registers, mitigation plans, and reporting to leadership and customers
- Lead project reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer status briefings
- Manage deliverables, SOWs, budgets, resources, and subcontractor agreements
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, business, or program management
- 2+ years formally managing projects as a Project Manager
- 2+ years in an engineering and/or operations environment
- Hands-on experience implementing project risk management
- Proven leadership of teams in a matrixed environment
- U.S. citizenship, with the ability to obtain a government security clearance
Nice to Have
- PMP certification
- C5ISR experience for military or border/homeland security customers (tactical radios, EO/IR, radar, networking)
- Foreign Military Sales or Direct Commercial Sales contract experience
- ERP system familiarity
You're a self-starter who balances delivery with financial and risk performance and communicates complex information clearly to any audience.
This position will require a pre-employment background check and drug test to be administered by the clients preferred partners. All screening is required to be completed prior to start but will not be conducted until an offer has been made.
