Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Cable Technician to support on-site cabling projects in North Charleston, South Carolina. This Contract position focuses on building and maintaining structured cabling systems across commercial and industrial environments, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and dependable field execution. The ideal candidate brings practical experience with copper and fiber installations and can work efficiently in active job site settings while following safety and project standards.

Responsibilities:
• Install, route, and secure copper and fiber cabling throughout commercial and industrial facilities.
• Complete terminations for network cabling and verify performance using appropriate testing equipment.
• Set up and mount infrastructure components such as racks, patch panels, cable pathways, conduit, and support hardware.
• Review blueprints, layout drawings, and wiring documentation to carry out installations according to project specifications.
• Identify and resolve cabling and connectivity issues to maintain reliable system performance.
• Label installed cables clearly and keep accurate records of completed work and test results.
• Follow site safety requirements and industry standards while working in ceilings, telecom rooms, and construction areas.
• Collaborate with project teams or work independently to meet installation schedules and service expectations.• Prior experience in cable installation, low-voltage work, or structured cabling projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cable installation practices.
• Ability to terminate, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling systems.
• Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and cable testing devices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and installation diagrams.
• Reliable transportation for travel to job sites in North Charleston, South Carolina.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in ceilings, telecom closets, and active construction environments.
