What you’ll do
- Keep the community in great shape by inspecting and maintaining common areas, exteriors, roofs, mechanical rooms, supply closets, and resident apartments, working with your Team Leader and Property Manager.
- Take care of residents with prompt, friendly service on work orders and repairs.
- Get apartments move-in ready by completing repairs and turns on vacant units.
- Handle winter like a pro by helping clear snow at assigned properties by 7:30 a.m. and keeping an eye on snow vendors.
- Keep the pool safe and inviting by earning and maintaining a pool operator certification
- Stay organized by documenting work orders within 24 hours, including a follow-up plan for longer jobs.
- Share on-call coverage for weekends and after hours on a rotating basis.
- Travel between properties as needed and follow Fair Housing and applicable Tax Credit requirements.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability for rotating weekend and after-hours on-call coverage
- A customer-first attitude and pride in doing the job right
- Basic maintenance experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Bonus points for skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or appliance repair
