Job DescriptionSenior R Statistical Data AnalystDuration: 24+ months
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Location: Jackson, MS (Local candidates only)About the RoleA longterm modernization initiative is underway to rebuild and validate statistical reporting processes using modern technologies. The selected analyst will be responsible for rewriting legacy reporting code, developing statistical models, validating data outputs, and producing highquality documentation to support regulatory reporting requirements.This is an individual contributor role focused heavily on handson R programming, statistical model development, and reproducible reporting.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain statistical reporting models using R.
  • Rewrite legacy coding logic using modern coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform model development, backtesting, deployment, and UAT.
  • Build automated, reproducible reporting processes.
  • Conduct data validation, quality assurance checks, and audit trail development.
  • Create clear technical documentation, including business rules and revision history.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure successful model deployment.
  • Work independently to manage assigned workstreams and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years handson R programming.
  • Strong statistical modeling and quantitative analysis background.
  • 5+ years experience developing and validating reporting or analytical models.
  • 5+ years experience with SQL, SQL Manager, and R Studio.
  • Experience with model development, backtesting, deployment, and UAT.
  • Experience documenting methodologies, rules, and model logic.
  • Experience working with both Windows 7 and Windows 10 environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with ADABAS/Natural.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with regulatory or federal reporting environments.

Reporting StructureThis role operates as part of a larger modernization team and collaborates closely with technical stakeholders, analysts, and project teams to support longterm transformation efforts.
