Position Summary
The Cleaning Team Lead is responsible for supervising and supporting a team of cleaning technicians to ensure that all assigned facilities are cleaned and maintained to the company’s quality standards. This position involves training team members, monitoring performance, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining strong communication with management and clients.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead, train, and motivate cleaning staff to meet company standards and client expectations.
•Perform daily cleaning duties alongside team members as needed (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom cleaning, etc.).
•Assign cleaning tasks and inspect work to ensure high-quality results and adherence to schedules.
•Monitor supply inventory, report shortages, and ensure proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
•Communicate effectively with management about issues, staffing needs, or client feedback.
•Ensure all employees follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
•Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
•Provide on-the-job training for new team members.

Requirements:
•Previous experience in commercial or janitorial cleaning (1–2 years required; supervisory experience preferred).
•Strong leadership and communication skills.
•Ability to motivate and guide a team.
•Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
Must be able to clear the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) fingerprinting and background check process.
