Job Description
Seeking a Design Release Engineer with experience in automotive mechanisms, closures, latches, locks, hinges, or seat mechanisms. The engineer will lead the design, development, validation, release, and launch of vehicle closure systems including handles, locks, latches, hinges, strikers, liftgates, tailgates, and door mechanisms.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of mechanical/product engineering experience
- Automotive Design & Release Engineering (DRE)
- CATIA, 3DX, Teamcenter
- GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Product Design & Development
- DFMEA, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis (8D/5 Why)
- Supplier management and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred:
- Experience with closure systems, latching systems, or seat mechanisms
- Knowledge of WERS, VisMockup, CAE tools, PFMEA, Six Sigma
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
