About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a Systems Infrastructure team and take ownership of key network engineering initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving projects such as counterparty integrations, new office buildouts, network upgrades, and other infrastructure initiatives.
\n
The position is ideal for a collaborative network professional who enjoys working across both engineering and infrastructure projects and is looking for an opportunity to grow their scope over time. While the initial focus will be on network engineering, responsibilities are expected to expand as the team and technology environment evolve.

This is a fully onsite role in New York City, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute network infrastructure projects, including counterparty integrations, office buildouts, upgrades, and other network initiatives
- Design, implement, operate, and support network infrastructure across the environment
- Manage and troubleshoot routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Support and expand cloud networking capabilities, with a particular focus on AWS
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation to improve network operations and efficiency
- Implement and continuously improve network security best practices and controls
- Partner closely with infrastructure, systems, security, and other technology teams on shared projects and priorities
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and contribute to the reliability and scalability of the overall infrastructure

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–10 years of experience in network engineering and/or network security
- Strong hands-on expertise with routing, switching, and firewalls
- Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Working knowledge of network security principles, controls, and best practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms
- Experience with public cloud networking, particularly AWS
- Financial services or financial industry experience is a plus, but not required
