Full-Stack Developer, Business Platforms
Job Description
Job Description
Interactive Advertising Bureau is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to help build the next generation of internal business applications that power our organization. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on creating tools that improve how our teams work—from Salesforce-connected applications and operational dashboards to AI-enabled solutions that automate workflows and deliver business insights.
Our Business Platforms team sits at the intersection of technology and operations. Salesforce is at the core of how we manage members, events, education, programs, revenue, and industry engagement - but the real opportunity lies in building the applications, automations, and integrations around it. You'll work with modern technologies including React, Python, Microsoft Azure, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver solutions that have an immediate impact across the organization.
You'll report to the Director, Platform Solutions, working under their architectural guidance while partnering closely with Salesforce Administrators, the Platform Engineer, and business stakeholders to build applications that support the organization's business platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership, meaningful mentorship, and the opportunity to expand your technical scope as you grow.
If you're someone who enjoys building products people actually use, moving quickly from idea to implementation, and leveraging AI to accelerate development while maintaining high engineering standards, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.
What You'll Do
Build Business Applications
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build custom internal tools that improve operational efficiency and automate manual business processes.
- Design and maintain applications that integrate with Salesforce and other CRM data.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly software solutions.
Develop in a Modern Technology Stack
- Build applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Work with GitHub for source control, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Support application deployments, maintenance, monitoring, and ongoing enhancements.
- Contribute to a reliable, secure, and maintainable application environment.
Build in an AI-First Engineering Environment
- Leverage AI development tools including Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate software development.
- Rapidly prototype new ideas and iterate on solutions.
- Review, validate, and refine AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to determine when AI accelerates development—and when manual development is the better approach.
Collaborate Across the Platform Team
- Partner closely with the Director, Platform Solutions, Salesforce Administrators, Platform Engineer, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in solution design discussions and contribute ideas that improve our internal technology ecosystem.
- Build solutions that support teams across membership, events, education, finance, and operations.
Who You Are
- Experience building real applications—whether through professional experience, startups, personal projects, or substantial coursework—that you can confidently demonstrate and discuss.
- Proficiency with Python and an eagerness to expand your full-stack development skills.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases, and modern software development practices.
- Comfortable using Git and GitHub as part of a collaborative development workflow.
- Eagerness to learn cloud-native and AI-assisted development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with careful attention to quality and detail.
- Effective communicator who enjoys collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and eager to continuously learn new technologies and development practices.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience working with Salesforce or Salesforce APIs.
- Experience building applications with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Experience developing internal business applications or operational tools.
- Interest in UI/UX design, rapid prototyping, or product development.
- Experience working with AI-assisted software development tools.
