Join Comsat Architects to bring the future of space communications and exploration to Northeast Ohio. We are seeking a software developer to join our application development team on a hybrid basis for our commercial space communications software projects. This is a client-facing position which requires excellent communication skills and the ability to address customer needs. Working with our software team, you will analyze user needs and requirements, create feasible development plans, and contribute to development of aerospace software applications.
Responsibilities:
- Create custom software integrations and provide support to our commercial partners
- Adapt to evolving customer needs as our commercial partnerships grow
- Interface with clients and partners to derive software integration requirements
- Collaborate with other developers to plan, test, and complete project tasks
- Grow your professional skills and Comsat Architects' software portfolio
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Minium 1-2 years of experience in software development or related internships
- Experience with Python and JAVA; knowledge of Golang (Go)
- Experience working with the gRPC framework and protobuf files
- Experience creating integrations between preexisting software systems
- Strong understanding of network principles
- Familiarity with build tools such as Bazel
- Highly attentive to details and accuracy
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a team
- Must be a US citizen or US permanent resident
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in DevOps utilizing tools such as Docker
- Experience with Git and version control practices
- Experience interfacing with RESTful/GraphQL APIs
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL)
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ECMAScript 2017+) and/or TypeScript
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience writing software tests and verifications
